26plus Zeichen was implemented to provide a platform for the presentation of student-created fonts. Especially for unfinished type sketches to encourage the protracted way towards a professional and finally completed font.

Firebelly is hosting an open house tonight (Thursday October 20th, 2011 from 6:30PM – 8:30PM at 2701 W. Thomas in Chicago) to show off their new studio and officially release the TYPEFORCE 2 books. The book is a catalog of the Chicago based typography show Firebelly puts on each year. The event is free and all are welcome to come through. The books are $20 and come with a free edition of last years book.

Join us at the Chicago Cultural Center this Friday (September 30th, 2011) from 5:30-7:30pm for one of the largest typography shows I've ever heard of. Write Now: Artists & Letterforms. Over 60 artists, in all three chicago rooms at the Cultural Center for a 6 month run. Amazing! I can't find the full artist list posted anywhere online so here it is for your reading pleasure.
