Meet Lytro
Oh my. I want one.
Check out this amazing camera. Most cameras only capture a single plane of light, the Lytro camera captures the entire light field, which is all the light traveling in every direction in every point in space. Which means instead of a standard photographer capturing one plane, you instantly capture complete light field data.
What does it mean? It means the future is here (and it's not a jetpack). Now you can focus after the fact, essentially since you'll capture the color, intensity, and direction of all the light, you can focus after the fact. Focus and re-focus, anywhere in the picture. Here is an example.
Explaining The Internet’s New Domain Endings
Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) voted to allow a new array of Internet domain endings which will add to the short list of familiar ".com" or ".net" endings. By early next year, and with the right amount of money, corporations and individuals will be able to use endings like ".bank" or ".coke" or anything else you can imagine. This seems like an idea that could get out of control really quickly but we will have to wait and see what happens! More info on cnn.
iA Writer
Take a look at iA Writer for Mac, it's the simplest word processor I've ever seen on a computer. Since I bought this application, I have truly been able to focus on my writing better. it's only been a few days, but I suggest you check this one out. It's incredibly simple, clever and a pleasue.
