¡Oh! ¡Un Zig-Zag

Published by Paga Extra, ¡Oh! ¡Un Zig-Zag is a new publication by Antonio Ladrillo. Twelve double page illustrations talking about the color and the shape. Basic color and simple geometrical shapes turned into characters that reflect through a simple text about their condition. 'We are lines!', 'We are curves!'

Farm Anatomy

Wow, you're on a blog tour right now and you didn't even know it! Well, I guess you aren't but Julia Rothman's new book Farm Anatomy is and this is our contribution to the internet's version of a victory lap. And a well deserved one at that. With over 200 pages of hand-painted illustrations (it really looks like there are thousands of drawings in this thing) the book is impressively thorough and extremely stimulating to say the least. A lot of people are writing about the book and including general images of it's contents so I thought I would focus on showing my favorite part of the book – the beautiful illustrations and end-paper-like patterns for the chapter intro pages. If these don't trigger your curiosity I don't know what will. Make sure to add this one to the short list of holiday gift recommendations.

P.S. I helped photograph the cover image you see above for Pitch Design Union's post earlier in the week. She made a Shepards Pie! Check it out

This is a Print Handbook

This is a Print Handbook looks like a nice little addition to any students personal library. Wait, who am I kidding, I could use this book! Who doesn't need a little pocket guide print. If for no other reason than to help when explaining to a client why a web image isn't high enough quality to print. I know we could all use a hand there.
